Install instructions

Download the Zip file and extract all the files into one folder.

Windows:

Go into the extracted Cat-Fishing folder and go into the WINDOWS folder. Double click the Cat-Fishing.exe file to start! DO NOT move the exe from the folder, or remove any other contents from the folder.

Mac:

Go into the extracted Cat-Fishing folder, but don't go into the MAC folder.

Open the terminal (search terminal from the toolbar at the top of your Mac screen). Once you have the terminal open, type 'cd '

myPc ~ % cd

Ensure there is a space after 'cd'.  Once you've done this, go back to the Finder (folder navigation) and click and drag the folder titled 'MAC' into the terminal window and drop it. This should autofill your terminal with a path. It should now look something like this:

myPc ~ % cd /Path/To/.../Cat-Fishing/MAC

Press Enter. Your terminal should now be in the correct spot to run the program. TO run, type the following command in the console './Cat-Fishing' and press enter.

myPc MAC % ./Cat-Fishing

This should start up the game window and allow you to play! Enjoy!

NOTE: You may at multiple points in the initial install/run need to go to System Settings -> Privacy and Security in your Mac settings to allow these to be run on your Mac. This is safe, and requires your password. A pop-up will inform you if this is necessary when downloading and running. It is most likely that this will happen 5 times, once for the app, and 4 times for the SDL dependencies. If you get a pop-up saying the app can't be opened, press open if possible - otherwise press cancel. Go to System Settings -> Privacy & Security, and scroll down to security. Switch to allow applications from App Store and identified developers. Click 'Allow Anyway' for Cat-Fishing or any SDL files and try to run the program again.
